“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

I was watching a television show not long ago and it featured a seventy-six year old female bodybuilder who began her fitness career in her late fifties.  It was so inspiring to see her enthusiasm and tenacity.  I believe we can all get caught up in excuses at times.  We keep pushing that workout to the back burner in hopes of someday having the energy to get started.  We repay that gym membership month after month thinking that a debt in our bank account will be the motivation.  Whatever it is that lights a fire under you, I want you to get right near that flame.  Maybe a person inspires you or a workout DVD.  Be around that person as much as possible.  Have that DVD in your player at all times.  You will have to take some action, though.  We can only wish for things for so long before we have to move on them.  But know that you are never too old, too slow, too “past your prime” to start something new.  Find an exercise program or activity you love and someone to do it with and go out and change your life.  Remember that God is paving the way before you and he is waiting with anticipation to see you through.
