I’m so guilty of focusing on the negative. I’m a glass half empty kind of gal, and this often leaves me jealous of others, wishing for a different season, and fed up with current circumstances.
Why does God choose to not remove a thorn in my life when he easily could and can?
Friends, we don’t know this answer. And while we can sulk and whine about it, God reserves the right to do what he wants. For His glory and to bring us closer to him.
How can we give Jesus the pain? The pitfalls? All the sleepless nights?
Where is God in the middle of the divorce? In the midst of my pain?
I don’t know the answer, but I do know we must trust. As my good friend Troy used to say, “Trust him when you cannot trace him.” That’s the call to us as Christians. And no, it’s not easy.
What can you give to Jesus today? The good, the bad, and in between. He’s waiting for it.
